# Delegating Votes

If you do not want to participate in every single vote you can delegate your votes to someone else through [Snapshot's delegation portal](https://snapshot.org/#/delegate). Snapshot uses [Gnosis' Delegate registry contract](https://etherscan.io/address/0x469788fE6E9E9681C6ebF3bF78e7Fd26Fc015446) to keep track of which votes have been delegated.

**Steps to delegate:**

1. Visit the [Snapshot delegation portal  ](https://snapshot.org/#/delegate)
2. Type in which address you want to delegate your IONX votes to
3. Put `charged.eth` in the **space** field to ensure that your votes are only delegated for Charged Particles governance

       4\. Hit **Confirm** and approve the delegation in your Wallet.
